Three weeks ago we posted an image of the bank that was brown and colourless. It is now alive with a range of colourful plants, particularly cowslips, forget-me-nots and wallflowers. And the lion has come out of the shed to watch over things.
Three years ago, this was all brambles, wild raspberries and emerging rosebay willow herb. It is worth thinking back to Serpentine three years ago – second polytunnel just covered, raised beds still being added, no small greenhouses, no compost bays, piles of stone and rotting wood, and no access to the concrete garage. A lot has changed but always present have been committed and inspiring people. That’s what makes a garden.
