Our science project funded by HPBC is underway. We will be planting two identical bare root fruit trees next week: one directly into poor, possibly contaminated, soil on a brownfield site within the old council depot area; one into well conditioned soil in a ton bag. We will be comparing and contrasting growth and produce over the seasons.
